Timber Crest Farms

A Farm, Manufacturing and Wine Collective

Winemaker Rick Hutchinson chose the name Amphora to reflect his passion for the art of pottery, and the ancient history of the art of winemaking. Amphorae (literally “the vinebearer”) were clay wine vessels used in the ancient Mediterranean. The ones depicted on the labels aren’t from an archaeological dig, but rather are Rick’s prized pieces, painstakingly hand burnished and pit-fired, crafted with the same intensity and focus as his wines. Whether pottery or wine, Rick’s emphasis is on quality and the expression of the character of grape and clay. He launched Amphora in 1997 with a few barrels of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Syrah. Twelve years later, Rick’s palette has broadened to embrace many of the other great red grapes of Dry Creek Valley, and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Russian River Valley and the Sonoma Coast.

Kokomo Winery was started in 2004 with the production of a single vineyard Cabernet from Mounts Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County. We focus on both Dry Creek & Russian River Valley fruit, with an emphasis on single vineyard wines that show a distinct terroir. We believe that our small production techniques and relationships with growers allow us to make wines that are as individual and unique as the vineyards they were born from.

Papapietro Perry Winery specializes in small lots of handcrafted, single-vineyard designate Pinot Noir and Zinfandel produced from the finest grapes the Russian River, Anderson and Dry Creek Valleys have to offer.

Along with our continuing passion for Pinot Noir and Zinfandel, our mission is to assist you in enjoying one of life’s pleasures—the union of good food, good wine and good friends.

At Peterson Winery we practice the philosophy of Zero Manipulation. Our definition of Zero Manipulation is using the most gentle winemaking techniques possible to maximize flavors, aromatics and the original essence of the wine. The less you do in the course of a wine’s tenure in the cellar, the more of that essence you’ll have to bottle. We invite you to stop by our tasting room and see for yourself what Zero Manipulation winemaking is really all about.
